Nephrologist & General Medicine Physician

Dr Dov Degen is a dual trained Nephrologist and General Medicine Physician with Peri-operative experience, as well as a qualified VAD (euthanasia) Physician. He holds a public appointment at Eastern Health and has private rooms at Central Park Specialist Centre in East Malvern.

He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with honours from Monash University and subsequently completed Physician's training across a variety of rural and metropolitan healthcare networks. He is passionate about medical education and previously worked as a Director of Physician Education at Eastern Health. He is a Teaching Associate for Monash University and mentors medical students and junior doctors.

Dr Dov Degen has extensive medical experience in diverse areas, with particular interests in diabetic nephropathy, hypertension, mental health (including lithium nephropathy), metabolic syndrome, palliative care, and chronic disease management. 

As an active mental health advocate for SANE Australia and Beyond Blue, Dr Dov Degen takes pride in considering patients' psychosocial and mental health concerns, enabling him to deliver holistic care.
